Add a media source and publish. The plugin creates the gallery home page, individual media pages, players, Featured showcase, category navigation, mobile experience, and interaction tools around your content. There are no shortcodes to assemble and no separate page design to build for every media item.
Add a source and publish
Creating a video or music entry is as familiar as publishing a WordPress post. Add a title, media source, cover image, description, and category. The plugin automatically detects the platform and media type for supported URLs.

Direct MP4, WebM, OGV, M3U8, MP3, M4A, WAV, OGG, OGA, and AAC sources are supported. Spotify tracks, albums, playlists, episodes, shows, and artist links can also be used.
Preview the player before publishing, receive a warning when the same media source is already in use, and create a consistent 16:9 fallback cover when an item has no assigned image.
More than a standard archive
The gallery home page combines distinct editorial sections that help visitors understand what matters and what to explore next.
Hero
Introduce the gallery with your own image, eyebrow, title, description, and quote.
Featured
Highlight important media with one of two editorial layouts:
- One large card with four compact cards
- Two large cards with three compact cards
Featured items can be reordered with drag and drop. Additional selected items remain in reserve when they fall outside the visible five-item layout.
Most Liked
Show the media your audience appreciates most from the last 7 days, the last 30 days, or all time. Choose the item count and column layout from the settings screen.
Content stream
Publish video and music in a clean stream of consistent 16:9 cards. Cards can display the media type, title, views, and likes, while an optional title limit helps keep the layout balanced.

7S Video & Music Gallery does more than shrink its desktop layout for smaller screens. The gallery presentation is reorganized for comfortable viewing and interaction on mobile devices.
The renewed mobile interface:
- Adapts the Hero and gallery sections to the available screen width
- Reorganizes Featured content into a balanced mobile layout
- Preserves the 16:9 presentation of media cards
- Keeps titles and interaction details clear and readable
- Adapts individual video and music pages for smaller screens
- Presents the player, description, and related content in a natural flow
- Reduces unnecessary spacing so more room remains for the content
- Uses controls and links sized for touch interaction
A compact bottom navigation is included as part of this mobile experience. Visitors can move between All, Video, Music, and Categories without returning to the top of the page.
Navigation items can be reordered with drag and drop from the settings screen. Categories open in an icon-based bottom panel instead of sending visitors through an intermediate page. Each category can use an icon selected from the visual picker or automatic name-based icon matching.
The mobile interface uses the active theme’s computed surface and text colors, while maintaining readable contrast for the selected navigation item.
Make content easier to discover
Live search updates results as visitors type. All, Video, Music, and category navigation provide direct paths through the gallery, while category and tag archives bring related entries together.
Choose how visitors continue through the content stream:
- Numbered pagination
- Load More
- Infinite scrolling
You can also control the number of items loaded at once and the default publication order.
A dedicated page for every media item
Every video or music entry receives its own permalink and individual media page. Depending on your settings, that page can include:
- A video or audio player
- Title and description
- Categories and tags
- A reversible Like button
- Social sharing controls
- Previous and next navigation
- Related video and music
Related items are selected through shared categories and tags. Previous and next navigation helps visitors continue through the current category. Each section can be controlled from the settings screen, and custom slugs are available for both the gallery archive and individual media pages.
Understand what your audience enjoys
Visitors can like content without creating an account and remove their like from the same browser. Logged-in visitors’ preferences remain connected to their WordPress accounts.
The built-in Statistics screen shows:
- Total and recent views
- Total and recent likes
- Most-viewed content
- Most-liked content
- Per-item interaction totals
- Recent gallery activity
Statistics refresh while the screen is open and can be exported as CSV. View and like data remains on your WordPress site; it is not sent to the plugin author and does not require a separate analytics service.
Help visitors share your media
Individual media pages can include sharing controls for Facebook, X, WhatsApp, Telegram, LinkedIn, Reddit, Pinterest, and Copy Link. Each option can be enabled separately, and external share destinations are created only after a visitor chooses a sharing control.
Make the gallery belong to your website
Use your theme’s typography or give the gallery its own visual identity. Control font family, weight, and desktop or mobile size for the Hero, card titles, Featured titles, individual content titles, and interface text.
Use the theme content width or define a custom gallery width. Adjust text, muted text, line, surface, and Like accent colors from the dedicated Appearance settings.
Live desktop and mobile previews show the gallery appearance, Featured layout, content card, individual content, typography, and mobile navigation before settings are saved.
Structured data for video and audio
The plugin can generate VideoObject or AudioObject structured data based on the media type. When available, the output includes the content name, description, URL, publication details, cover image, media or embed URL, and interaction information.
Basic Open Graph and Twitter metadata can be generated when a supported SEO plugin is not active. Yoast SEO, Rank Math, All in One SEO, SEOPress, and The SEO Framework are detected to avoid duplicate social metadata.
Build an example gallery with one click
Use the one-click demo installer in Import / Export to understand the plugin before adding your own content. It creates example video and music entries, categories, cover images, and Featured items.
Demo entries behave like ordinary WordPress content, so you can inspect, edit, or delete them. Running the installer again does not duplicate existing examples and can restore missing demo items.
Back up or move your gallery
The built-in Import / Export system packages gallery content and settings in a ZIP archive. Packages can include plugin settings, media entries, categories, tags, cover images, and eligible local media files.
The package is reviewed before an import is applied, allowing you to see what will be transferred. Use it to create a backup, move from staging to production, or transfer the gallery to another WordPress installation.
Your content remains under your control
Your video and music entries remain inside your own WordPress installation. Uninstalling the plugin does not delete published media content, categories, tags, view and like data, or files stored in the Media Library.

External Services
7S Video & Music Gallery connects to an external service only when a site administrator publishes media from that service or a visitor chooses a sharing button. The plugin author does not receive this data.
Embedded players
When a supported media item is viewed, the visitor’s browser loads the player from the selected provider. That provider may process the media identifier, IP address, browser or device information, referrer data, and cookies under its own policies.

Direct external media
Administrators may enter a direct video or audio URL hosted on another domain. The visitor’s browser connects to that administrator-selected host only when the media is viewed. The site owner is responsible for that host’s terms and privacy disclosures.
The optional one-click demo installer creates direct-media examples hosted by W3C and SoundHelix. These hosts are contacted only when a visitor opens or plays the relevant demo content. Removing or replacing the demo items stops those connections.

Optional sharing
Sharing links are created locally. The visitor connects to a service only after clicking its button, which sends the content URL and title; Pinterest may also receive the cover-image URL and description.

Privacy
7S Video & Music Gallery does not send analytics or usage data to the plugin author.
To reduce duplicate views, the plugin uses a first-party cookie for up to 24 hours and temporarily stores a one-way salted fingerprint for up to six hours. Raw IP addresses and raw browser identifiers are not stored.
Guest likes use a random first-party browser token for up to one year; only its one-way salted hash is saved. Logged-in visitors are represented by a one-way salted hash of their WordPress user ID. Raw identifiers and IP addresses are not stored with likes.
Third-party embedded players may process visitor data according to the policies listed in the External Services section.

- Install and activate 7S Video & Music Gallery from WordPress.
- Open 7S Gallery > Settings and choose how your gallery should look and behave.
- Open 7S Gallery > Add New Media Content.
- Add a title and a media source, then publish.
- Add selected items to the Featured area if you want them highlighted at the top of the gallery.
If you change the gallery permalink settings, save the WordPress permalink settings once afterward.

The plugin is designed to work with themes that follow standard WordPress practices. It also includes its own width, typography, and appearance controls when you want the gallery to have a more independent presentation.

Does uninstalling the plugin delete my content?

No. Published media content, taxonomies, view and like data, and Media Library files are preserved. Plugin settings and temporary transfer data are removed.
