If you provide\nmultiple comma-seperated category slugs then they will all be\nincluded.<\/p><\/li>\n<li><p><strong>tag<\/strong>: If defined, show posts only from this tag.  Specify the tag\nusing its slug identifier.  If you provide multiple comma-seperated\ntag slugs then they will all be included.<\/p><\/li>\n<li><p><strong>style<\/strong>: One of <em>list<\/em> (default) or <em>post<\/em>.  If it\nis <em>list<\/em>, then the list style is indented and bulleted.  If it is <em>post<\/em> \nthen the title is promoted to <code>&lt;h2 class=\"upcoming-entry-title\"&gt;<\/code> and\nthe list style is plain.<\/p><\/li>\n<li><p><strong>text<\/strong>: One of <em>none<\/em> (default), <em>excerpt<\/em>, <em>excerpt-formatted<\/em>,\nor <em>normal<\/em>.  If it is <em>excerpt<\/em>, then the post excerpt is shown, similar\nto search results.  If it is <em>normal<\/em> then the full post (up to\nthe <code>[more]<\/code> tag) is shown.<\/p><\/li>\n<li><p><strong>more_text<\/strong>: Specify the text to append onto truncated excerpts.\nDefaults to <code>...<\/code>.<\/p><\/li>\n<li><p><strong>null_text<\/strong>: If no results are returned, shows this text.\nDefaults to <code>(none)<\/code>.<\/p><\/li>\n<li><p><strong>class_name<\/strong>: If defined, adds this class name to the generated <code>&lt;ul&gt;<\/code>\nelement.  Useful for custom styling.<\/p><\/li>\n<li><p><strong>show_date<\/strong>: If defined, the post date will precede the post title.<\/p><\/li>\n<li><p><strong>date_format<\/strong>: If showing the date, this php date format will be\nused.  The default is the Date Format value from the General Settings\npage.  I recommend <code>\"F j, Y\"<\/code>, which displays as \"May 12, 2012\".<\/p><\/li>\n<li><p><strong>q<\/strong>: Arbitrary &amp;-separated arguments to add to the query.  See the\n<a href=\"http:\/\/codex.wordpress.org\/Class_Reference\/WP_Query\/#Parameters\">WP_Query<\/a>\npage for available syntax.  For example, to show only three posts and\nyou want to show them in ascending instead of descending order, you would\nwrite <code>[postlist q=\"posts_per_page=3&amp;order=ASC\"]<\/code>.<\/p><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>The output can then be further formatted using CSS.  We recommend the\nplugin <a href=\"http:\/\/wordpress.org\/extend\/plugins\/imporved-simpler-css\/\">Improved Simpler\nCSS<\/a> for\nquickly styling your post list (and your site)!<\/p>\n\n<p>This plugin can also be easily made into a widget by placing the shortcode\ninto a text widget, and activating the <a href=\"http:\/\/wordpress.org\/extend\/plugins\/shortcodes-in-sidebar\/\">Shortcodes in\nsidebar<\/a>\nplugin.<\/p>\n\n<p>Report bugs, give feedback, or fork this plugin on\n<a href=\"http:\/\/github.com\/scoskey\/Simple-post-listing-wordpress-plugin\">GitHub<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n<!--section=installation-->\n<p>Nothing unusual here!<\/p>\n\n<!--section=changelog-->\n<p>0.2 Added the **more_text* option, and improved the <em>excerpt<\/em>\ndisplay.<\/p>\n\n<pre><code>0.1 Changed the **category_name** option name to just **category**.\n<\/code><\/pre>\n\n<p>Please update your site accordingly!
